The Future is Edge Computing, and Edge Computing is the future.
When we think of “high speed” we think “instant.” With our world already more connected than ever, and the fact that it is still day one compared to the number of connected devices (nodes) coming online in the next five years or even the next five months. With all of these new IoT devices demanding “instant” processing our cloud infrastructure cannot process all this data, this is where ‘edge computing’ comes in.
We are not talking about use cases where your Fortnite game lags (however important that seems to you), we are talking about life and death use cases. Maybe its the drone technology bringing you a defibrillator on the 9th hole like Orlando Startup Archer First Response is doing.
